Chapter 20 Love Struck
- Shock spread across Aura’s face like wildfire. Her eyes grew wide in disbelief, but thankfully, her body didn’t freeze. Just in time, she ducked, fast and low, right before the arrow could stick itself into her head like a sick joke.
- “He’s mad!” she gasped, staying crouched as she stared at the sharp metal arrow now buried in the bullseye. It had flown past her, missing by just a hair. Her heart pounded like crazy. But it wasn’t the shooter’s aim that had her shaking, it was the fact that he didn’t even hesitate. He could’ve killed her. Just like that.
- Anger began to bubble inside her, rising from the pit of her stomach and spreading like fire in her veins.
