Chapter 29: Memory Loss

• Her question seemed to shock this intruder because he was suddenly silenced and practically froze. Then he finally noticed Toby near them. Seth wanted to ask what had happened to them that day.
• “Mr. Menard, care to explain everything?” Seth asked sternly as his eyes flew towards Toby. She could tell he practically forced that out. Toby stood up, held out his hand, and started to open his mouth.
• “Mr. Cohen.” There was some bad blood between them, but she couldn’t figure out what it was. She did not know why this man had suddenly asked his best friend for an explanation.
