Chapter 4

  • She walked out of that bar, and it didn't take long to feel someone's footsteps near hers, for a second, she thought it was Mateo, but then she raised an eyebrow when she realized that it was the same guy who had proposed to sleep with him.
  • "Come here, I haven't finished talking to you!"
  • She tightened her pace, without looking back, and only turned around when she felt a man's hand resting on her shoulder.
  • "Don't touch me!" she shrieked, slapping him away.
  • "You're missing the chance to have the best night of your life, don't you realize that?" His attempts at seduction contrasted too sharply with his drunkenly slurred voice. "Come on, whatever your name is, come with me..."
  • "She said to let her go" Mateo's voice emerged from the background, and little by little he approached them both.
  • "And who the hell are you? Oh, you know what? Go to hell, both of you," the guy insulted, shuffling away from the scene.
  • "Are you all right?"
  • "Yes," she replied, "He didn't even touch me."
  • "You have to be more careful with the places you frequent at this late hour of the night, Valeria, something could happen to you."
  • She looked at him, raising an eyebrow.
  • "And if something happened to me, what would you do?"
  • He didn't understand her question, or, to put it another way, he had understood it, he just didn't have an answer to give her; what would he do? He would probably suffocate in a deep sense of devastation and helplessness.
  • "What am I supposed to do?" he countered with another question.
  • She smiled.
  • "I don't know, that's what I'm asking you, Mateo. What are you doing in a bar at this hour?"
  • "Nothing that concerns you."
  • "I'm sure you're seeing someone else," Valeria mumbled without any expression, he smiled.
  • "And if so, what? Are you jealous?"
  • She laughed with a double laugh, tightening her pace; the cold was infernal and unbearable.
  • "I wouldn't have to," she spat at him, "just as you wouldn't have to worry about the places I frequent."
  • "I just saved you from being the victim of a possible pervert, and this is the thanks I get?"
  • "Are you going to throw it in my face that you saved me?"
  • "No, I choose to throw something else in your face."
  • An involuntary smile escaped Valeria's lips, although it soon disappeared, allowing her face to acquire the same seriousness it always seemed to have.
  • "You're a pervert."
  • "I'm the pervert?"
  • "Are you sure you don't come here to see yourself with others?" Valeria asked, redirecting the course of the conversation.
  • "So what if I do? Is there a problem with that, Valeria?" The smile on Mateo's face revealed how much fun he seemed to be having in that situation.
  • "I don't want you to give me something," she explained, "It's just that, do you think I care about you beyond the bed? Do you think I don't fuck ten more guys like you?"
  • The smile plummeted from Mateo's face, she smiled in triumph, in reality, he was the only one she had such frequent encounters with, but she liked to play with his emotions, more so now that she had a tiny assumption.
  • The assumption that he was beginning to lose the game.
  • Analyzing it further, it wasn't funny, it was worrisome, because she felt she was starting to lose it too.
  • "If you keep sleeping with so many men, I'll be the one to watch out for, and I'll find someone else."
  • "Are you threatening me, Mateo?" she asked with a hint of fury, stopping in her tracks and giving him an indecipherable look.
  • "Why would I threaten you? Isn't this supposed to be a simple game?"
  • She swallowed.
  • "It is," she replied, approaching him slowly, "And this conversation has made me want to play it tonight."
  • ***
  • She was thrown on the bed, her dress was up, and her underwear was halfway down. A passionate kiss was embedded on her red, bitten lips.
  • He held her by the hair gently and began to penetrate her so hard and deep that, once again, as every time they came together, Valeria's legs began to tremble with pleasure, she was barely able to formulate any words. She was enjoying being with him so much...
  • So much that it made her reflect on the fact that she was losing the game she herself had created.
  • Mateo's weak grip on her neck was, without a doubt, one of the parts that turned her on the most. A soft bite clung to her neck, the strong thrusts drove her crazy for an instant, the sweat of both skins collided, creating an even more exciting atmosphere.
  • The perverse male gaze that from time to time fell on her, filled her with such a deep arousal, that, together with the deep thrusts that for a second did not stop, submerged her in a passionate world of pleasure, one from which she did not want to return.

  • "Since when have you been smoking?" Mateo asked, looking closely at the woman's naked back, who was taking a cigarette out of her purse.
  • "Since today," she answered, disinterested, she had more important things to think about, like why she didn't want to leave, like why she wanted to stay and talk to him. She wanted to stay here with Mateo. Just stay there, "Any problem with it?"
  • "It's not good for your health."
  • "Are you a doctor now?"
  • He smiled, getting up and snatching the cigarette from her mouth before she was able to inhale some of its smoke.
  • "Give me the cigarette!"
  • "You were inhaling it wrong anyway," he laughed.
  • "Really?"
  • "You weren't lying when you said today is your first day smoking" He stood up and threw the cigarette out the window. "I hope it's your last."
  • "Don't tell me what to do or what not to do," Valeria spat at him, standing up, allowing Mateo to inspect her naked body, which, every day, was getting a little thicker, which, deep down, made him happy, because when he had met her, she was so slim, that, then, seeing the obsessive way in which she worried about food, it was not very difficult to deduce that something was wrong, he had never asked, nor had he commented anything about it, but he believed that she seemed to have some kind of anorexia, or something similar.
  • "Do you want to go eat something, Valeria?" Mateo questioned, approaching the woman who slowly denied, "Come on, please..."
  • "I can't today."
  • "Why not?"
  • "I'll go out with someone."
  • He swallowed bitterly, turning away from the window.
  • "May I know with who?"
  • "No," she replied, as she began to dress, "You can't know."
