Chapter 21

• Once again, he looked at the clock: it was five fifty in the afternoon, she gave no sign of showing up, she wasn't answering her calls, and he feared that something had happened to her, if only he knew where she was, or where she was even going, he could do more than regret it as he sat there.
• His door being knocked on, gave him hope that it was her, but the smile on his face was erased when he saw that it was Lucas; he was glad that he was there, only, at that precise moment, he was expecting someone else, he had even forgotten that his brother was coming to have a couple of drinks with him.
• "What's going on?" asked Lucas, observing the obvious disappointment on his brother's face. "Did I interrupt something?"
