• "Son, haven't you finished getting dressed yet? Malia has been waiting for you here for a while," Mom shouted from outside my room.
• I closed my eyes for a moment, then let out a breath. "I'm almost done, 'Mom," I shouted back even though the truth was, I was still sitting on the edge of the bed while observing the maroon suit I was going to wear for tonight.
• I can't figure out what I'm feeling, am I excited or nervous? I do not know.
