• "Ken, please just for me," I begged him. He didn't want to negotiate with Mar as if he would die if he did. "You're both my friends and I don't want to always intervene with you every time you fight," I added.
• Ken looked away from me and turned his attention to the whole plaza. He smirked and frowned.
• He was silent for a moment. "It's up to him, Jan," he replied. “If it's just me, I'll try to get along with him if that's what you want. Also, I don't want you to suffer through the two of us,” he finally said.
