Chapter 23 Fiona
- I’ve been tossing and turning on the couch for more than half an hour now. I couldn’t sleep. My eyes wouldn’t even close. I rolled over to my right side, facing the bed. Joshua was lying quietly on the bed. Only half of his body was covered by a blanket, from the waist down. He was shirtless, one of his arms tucked under his head as a pillow. Joshua looked more human when he was sleeping. It was as if he’d left his cruelty somewhere far away, and he looked as innocent as a baby.
- “I told you to sleep, not to analyze me in your pretty head.”
- Joshua suddenly spoke, but his eyes remained closed. I was amazed by how he knew his surroundings even though he didn’t open his eyes at all. He had a sharp instinct like a wolf. Was he a werewolf? Maybe he was an Alpha in his previous life.
