• “I never would dare hit a woman, Elise, until I saw your face!” Alpha Vance barked and grabbed Elise’s arm with a force that I thought would break her arm in two.
• The Warrior swooped in and took Elise out of Vance’s grip. He slid her behind him. “If you’re looking for a fight, Alpha, fight me instead.”
