Chapter 48 Heal With Me
- “Luna Evadne.” A deep female voice, one that holds both age and wisdom, whispered into my ear. “You don’t need to blame yourself. You’ll stress both of you,” she tossed a glance at Kallias. “Your mates; you’re both connected. The pain he felt runs down into your mind and soul too. The same with you breaking down. It will just worsen His Majesty’s condition if you give in to the panic attack.”
- I sighed once and drank in the Head Healer’s words of wisdom. It’s true. Both Kal and I are wounded. Both of us have met an accident we wouldn’t be able to crawl from if we didn’t fight back.
- The Head Healer held my face in her warm, calloused hands. She closed her eyes and muttered a prayer. The other Healer renewed my wounded hand’s wrapping. And though both hurt, both brought me serenity just like how Kal is now resting soundly on our bed.
