Chapter 116 The Sister That Never Was

  • Kal finally decided to just ask for help from the male Omegas building the cottage. He too was exhausted last night. I mean, not last night but early dawn from the previous day. We finished three hours after midnight. The distance between borders even made us run out of topics to discuss as we rode. There’s only three females among us, including me, and it was kind of awkward to spend the hours of midnight with bulky males despite my mate being there.
  • I woke up at noon the next day. It took more than a day for my strength and powers to be replenished. I felt my limbs burning and my back aching. I don’t know if my morning sickness had already started or if it's because of the great amount of moonflame spent in our crafting protection for the Moonflame Pack. I felt it now replenished, and it still whispered in my ghostly mother’s voice, but it was now jovial and excited, as if its slumbering days had finally ended.
  • Kal and I are back in the eastern borders where we were building the cottage we promised each other to be our home away from home. Kal was enthusiastically back to the physical labor. The shield that was made by Alpha Fionn and his Betas, together with Kallias and me, shimmered in the sky and in the surrounding trees now and then. I felt safer knowing that not even the Bloodhounds can knock that shield down. Not that I hope the Bloodhounds ever be out of Kal’s control.
