Daniel let out a heavy sigh, his gaze fixed on Laura with a mischievous glint. "Well, lucky him," he muttered with a hint of frustration, "he'd better thread carefully to steer clear of trouble next time."
Laura shook her head and scoffed, realizing how useless it was to argue with Daniel; she couldn't stand looking at his arrogant face, Laura left the room and went into the sitting room to have a quiet moment.
Daniel's only concern was how to stop Michael from saying a word to anyone, just like Laura kept her mouth shut. Although Daniel had no idea that Laura had already revealed it to her family, her Dad didn't want to bring up the issue for a reason best known to him.
