• After Liam Morris finished his confession, he stood up and noticed a group of police officers entering the room, talking anxiously as they walked. He couldn't make out their conversation, but he saw a forensic doctor following behind them, wearing a serious expression.
• "Dr. Ding," Liam Morris recognized the forensic doctor. They had crossed paths before, and Dr. Ding had even assisted him with an autopsy in the past. Liam Morris greeted him, and Dr. Ding looked somewhat surprised. "What are you doing at the police station during the New Year?"
• "My mother-in-law's old case has been pending for a while, so I happened to pass by here and wanted to see if there were any new leads," Liam Morris whispered to Dr. Ding after the police officers had moved further away. "Is there a new case? They called you in during the New Year."
