• The strain of the past few days had become too much for my wife that she landed up in the hospital with various complications. So far she and the baby were out of danger but the doctor advised that her stress levels should be kept down. Which was proving to be impossible.
• My mother was unusually supportive and concerned about my wife's and her grandchild's welfare. I don’t know if it was for my benefit, but she had been to visit Rayne every day and fussed over her, bringing her books or something to keep her mind off things. She would even bring board games and persuade her to play a game or two.
