- Brent took the stairs two at a time trying to keep up with his partner. When they got to the top of the stairs, he grabbed his arm. “Jac going to be all right?”
- Reid nodded briskly. “Yeah, it just scared her half to death, almost coming face to face with him.”
- “Can’t blame her there.” Brent took a deep breath, and then motioned towards the office doors. “Let’s get it done.”
