Chapter 4

  • Tyler was astounded by Cielo's appearance.
  • He had followed that person to this location, but he had not expected to be attacked in return.
  • This neighborhood's houses were densely packed together. Tyler also lost his sense of direction due to the rugged terrain. Initially, he intended to put someone under duress and then help him escape. Cielo, on the other hand, was not someone he expected to meet.
  • He had the impression that he could put his trust in Cielo after seeing her bemused expression.
  • Tyler slid his weapon to the side of his body and asked her directly in the eyes, "What are you doing here?"
  • When Cielo discovered the firearm in his possession, he became extremely concerned. As a result, she was forthcoming with him. "This is where I reside."
  • Tyler's eyes widened in surprise as he realized what had occurred. He couldn't believe she had to live in such deplorable conditions.
  • Despite this, he quickly reverted to his previous state and demanded, "Take me to the location where you reside."
  • "No," she replied quickly and emphatically. She would rather die than have him visit her.
  • "Ha!" Tyler made a sneering expression. This was exactly how he had predicted her reaction. " "Do you want me to tell Tyler that you seduced me?"
  • He was threatening to harm her yet again!
  • Cielo clenched her fists, a rage flush running down her cheeks. However, there was nothing she could do to stop this heinous individual.
  • She turned around at the end of the day and returned to the route she had taken earlier. "Follow me," he instructs.
  • They only had a half-minute conversation with each other.
  • Two men in black caught up with them as soon as they started walking away.
  • Tyler immediately took Cielo down another lane and into an unknown building when he heard footsteps.
  • They didn't leave the premises until they were certain the two men were no longer present.
  • Cielo's heart was racing so fast that it appeared to be about to burst. She had no idea who 'Troy' had made fun of. Nonetheless, she was well aware that now was not the time to pursue the matter further.
  • ........................................
  • They made their way back to Cielo's flat in a hurry.
  • Cielo remained at the door, scanning the area invisibly before entering the house and firmly closing the door behind him.
  • "Can you please tell me exactly what you..."
  • Just as she was about to question 'Troy,' she was surprised to see him collapsing on the ground.
  • "Are you feeling alright?" Cielo's expression changed as she rushed over to help him get to his feet.
  • Tyler was a tall and imposing figure. Needless to say, she lacked the necessary strength to help him get to his feet. Her hands, on the other hand, were bloodsplattered.
  • Only then did she notice his face was as pale as a sheet, and she panicked. The bloodstains on his clothing were not visible because he was dressed in black.
  • Tyler reached out to take her hand as she looked at him with a puzzled expression on her face. "What exactly are you afraid of?" Don't be alarmed. If I die, they will almost certainly request that you accompany me to the grave."
  • His demeanor was uninterested. As a result, determining whether it was a joke or not was difficult.
  • Cielo continued to ignore him, her thoughts returning to the voice she had previously heard. "Let go of me," she said with a long face. "I'm going to get my phone and dial 911."
  • His face darkened unexpectedly. "Don't call the ambulance," he murmured quietly.
  • Cielo could feel his grip on her hand tightening. He was squeezing her so hard that her hand began to throb. She didn't dare to challenge him with his piercing gaze.
  • "Then... how about I bandage your wound for you?" She said this hesitantly.
  • Tyler ignored her offer and issued a short order: "Blade and lighter; candle; bandage; towel."
  • Cielo eventually realized that he wanted to remove the bullet on his own.
  • She was so terrified that she could only shake her head and say, "That is not going to happen." You will be unable to remove the bullet by yourself. It'll take your life."
  • "Who informed you that I was going to take it out?" His stare was so intense that Cielo felt as if she could be drawn into it with just a glance.
  • Just as Cielo was about to give up, he said, "Help me remove it."
  • "What?" Cielo was so terrified that her legs went numb. Fortunately, she was able to recover. "I'm not capable!" says the speaker.
  • Despite her dislike for him, she believed in the value of human life.
  • Her father, Levin Hill, and his wife, Helene, had unintentionally given birth to her. Despite being treated like a maid by the Hill family for many years, she had done everything she could to survive.
  • As a result, she was perplexed as to why 'Troy' was treating this potentially life-threatening situation so casually. She would never agree to something like this.
  • Tyler raised his brows, "Would you rather die with me then?"
  • Even though he maintained a calm demeanor, his voice was unyielding.
  • Cielo's face flushed, and she couldn't help but comply with his request for the items.
  • She believed that the moment she married into the Smith family, her life began to fall apart. And that it had progressed to the point where it could no longer be repaired. What harm could it cause her at this point?
  • She even considered that if 'Troy' died as a result of the bullet she drew from him, it would not be a loss for her to die with such a handsome man by her side.
  • ......................................................
  • Cielo tried hard to keep her cool, but her hands continued to shake uncontrollably.
  • While she was scraping the skin away from the edge of his cut with the blade, she kept an eye on him to make sure he was okay.
  • Except for a pale complexion and a sweaty forehead, he showed no other signs of emotional response. When I looked at him, his brows were slightly wrinkled.
  • If he was notable for anything, it was that he had been staring at her the entire time.
  • Despite the fact that she could see he was extremely weak, his eyes were ablaze with desire.
  • Cielo couldn't help but remark, "Stop staring at me."
  • Tyler, on the other hand, was not as composed as he appeared. His wound was excruciating, and he'd lost an abnormally large amount of blood, which had made him dizzy.
  • However, once he locked his gaze on Cielo, the pain vanished like magic.
  • "Don't be alarmed. I'm not going to perish. "I believe in you," Tyler said softly but firmly.
  • Others' trust and worth in Cielo had never been so high in his previous experiences. She clenched her teeth even tighter and concentrated even harder on getting the bullet out.
  • .......................................
  • Cielo had the distinct impression that a century had passed.
  • She was drenched in sweat by the time she pulled out the bullet.
  • Cielo inquired of Tyler as she washed her hands at the sink, "How are you feeling now?"
  • His previous impression of "Troy" was that he was a haughty sc*mbag. She couldn't help but notice that she had a different perspective on him after extracting the bullet for him.
  • He did not scream in pain, nor did he pass out during the procedure. Cielo had only seen such incredible tenacity in movies and had never experienced it herself.
  • Meanwhile, she had the distinct impression that he was shrouded in mystery, which both terrified and intrigued her.
  • "Take out a pen. I'll provide you with a list of medications." Tyler's face was pale, but the way he spoke was commanding.
  • Cielo took a piece of paper and wrote down the medications he needed before going out to get them for him.
  • Keeping her guard up, she was able to obtain all of the medications she required from a variety of pharmacies.
  • ........................................
  • Tyler's lips twitched slightly as he noticed Cielo holding a few small bags with different drugstore labels.
  • He reflected, "What a wise and caring lady."
  • Furthermore, he could tell Cielo despised him.
  • Or, to be more precise, she despised 'Troy.'
  • She most likely assumed he was being pursued by his adversary. As a result, she bought them from various locations because she was concerned that buying them from the same place would raise suspicion.
  • Cielo approached him, knelt in front of him, and handed him the medication. "I'm going to give you some medicine right now." Please let me know if this is painful, and I will be gentle."
  • Tyler did not say anything.
  • He reached out, grabbed her arm, and pulled her towards himself just as she was about to leave. He kissed her on the lips the next moment.
