- I squeezed my cellphone in anger and fright as I rushed up the staircase. Tiana just texted and she said she was in some kind of trouble. It sounded so urgent that I couldn't overlook it like I would most times. So, here I was. Going into her home with uncertainty and worry.
- I brushed past her pet dog without acknowledging it and there she was, sitting but the window and holding her phone.
