Chapter 99 A Battlefield Of Three

• The next morning, Joshua Walker woke up to bright sunlight. Glancing at the clock, he realized it was already 10 am. The room was empty; Amanda Moore was nowhere to be found. He quickly called her, only to hear the message: "Sorry, the number you dialed is out of service. Please try again later."
• He then called the front desk, which informed him that Ms. Moore had settled her bill early in the morning and instructed not to disturb the guest in the room, but she didn't mention where she was going.
• Just as he was growing anxious, Scott's call came through: "Boss, Dr. Moore asked me to pick you up." Having spent a lot of time with Joshua Walker and becoming very familiar, he couldn't help but gossip: "Weren't you two on a trip together? What happened when you're at odds again in just one night? Good thing I sneaked along."
