• The class reunion was held in a beautiful, semi-open clubhouse with a scenic environment. The gathering was in the form of a high-end buffet with exquisite dishes, and the ingredients were even air-freighted from their origins on the day of the event.
• About thirty people from the senior high school class had been invited, and by now, many had already arrived, gathering in small groups to chat. Such reunions were typically about boasting and showing off – one would flaunt their newly bought watch, another would brag about their newly replaced car. Since everyone was more or less in the same social class, there wasn't much sense of superiority in these comparisons.
