• The look on Tatiana’s face tells me everything—I’ve got her cornered. She knows I’ve uncovered her filthy little secret. She tries to play it off, tucking her phone into the pocket of her trousers like it means nothing. But I see right through her. I see it in the way she walks, glancing over her shoulder every few seconds like the walls have ears—like someone might leap out of the shadows to confront her.
