Chapter 22 A Visit To His House.

• Stephanie looked at her wristwatch and saw it was 6 pm already. “Time to go home,” She said to herself as she stood up. She began to pack her bags, and Danielle did the same. She looked up and saw Thomas and the other workers rounding off too. Thomas looked at her, and when their eyes met, he looked away quickly. They had met during lunch, and he confessed that he had always had his eye on her since she got to the company. Stephanie turned him down, saying she had a boyfriend, and she couldn’t cheat on him. He was hurt but he quite understood her.
• “I think he hates you now,” Danielle said, and Stephanie shook her head. “He doesn’t hate me. He is just hurt. He would get over it soon,” She mumbled and carried her bag. “You are so in a hurry today. What’s up?” Danielle teased, knowing quite well that Sebastian’s car was parked outside, waiting for her. “Sebastian is here to pick me up. I don’t want to keep him waiting,” She said, and Danielle smiled. “I was aware, I saw him when he drove into the compound. I Just wanted to hear you say it,” Danielle answered and carried her bag too.
• They both walked out of the office and proceeded to the main entrance. As soon as they were out, Sebastian sighted them from where he parked the car and waved his hand in the air. “Stephanie, over here!” He called, and she looked in the direction of his voice. She smiled widely and looked at Danielle one more time. “We will talk later, okay?” She said, and Danielle scoffed. “Now I have to go home alone. Fine, enjoy yourself, and make sure you f**k this time.” She whispered in Stephanie’s ear, and she shot her a deadly look. “Bye, Danielle.” She gritted her teeth as she spoke, and walked towards Sebastian.
