I can't believe Ashley has been hiding a secret from me. For the last two weeks, I've felt restless. It seemed like she was avoiding and hiding from me. I stopped asking someone to look into her more than a month ago because I thought she couldn't stay away from me for long. I knew she wouldn't leave me, and I felt a little confident about our relationship.
But something happened earlier that made me feel uneasy. I was about to leave when I overheard her talking on the phone. At first, it didn't seem like a big deal since their conversation sounded casual. But then I heard her mention the name of the person she was talking to: Lance.
