Chapter 7
- Bella 's POV
- I've found peace with Melech , I no longer feel like going back home. I remember that my dad was calling me but I didn't pay attention to him. Right now I have created more enmity with Luna and Layla .
- "You have no way to go!" My wolf speaks within me. This is trying to kill my mood with Melech. I want to be all-happy, I don't want any frown or misunderstanding from Melech . This is our first meeting.
- "What if I ask Melech to take me in?" I ask Irene . Irene is my wolf, and has been very close to me. Apart from Melech , she is the next person I speak with most of the time, my first closest companion.
- "You just met him, you can't say that. Besides, it will make you cheap."
- "Ooh!" I raise my eyes like I'm just realizing something now. A warm touch awakens me, I gasp as I discover I have been lost in thoughts. One thing about us werewolves, we aren't in complete control of our wolves like lycans. A lycan would be very active physically while communicating with her wolf, but in our case, we get easily distracted from the real world once our wolf wants to talk to us.
- "I'm sorry, I was just talking to my wolf." I smile shyly.
- "Come on, baby." He slaps me lightly on the cheek to awaken me. "You don't need to be shy around me."
- "I'm not shy!" I utter, with a meek voice. Then I sit upright. I was sitting opposite him, as we would on a date in a restaurant, the feelings heightens in both of us and he gestures to me to come sit beside him.
- "Come on, come sit by my side."I gladly walk over to his side, and place my ass, shifting my body closer to his, to obtain the body warmth. Some fans who have decided to take some rest come over to the other stone benches, a few meters away. We have only one here on which we are sitting, my heart had skipped thinking they were coming to ask him for autographs, then I realized that he was not only the baseball player but the Alpha and being the Alpha, they have to respect his privacy.
- The tension which was building up on my chest falls when they take their seats elsewhere. I look up at Melech in an effort to ask him about these people, what if they record us?
- "What baby?" He asks.
- "These people?"
- He smiles widely. "Welcome to the celebrity world where you have to live your life freely in the public as you would in private. So far as you are with me, you will be in the limelight."
- I swallow the lump in my throat. I have always loved a private life, even as the Alpha's daughter. I rarely go out except when I have something to do, it's Max, Zane and Layla who have been portraying themselves as the Alpha's children, not me, that's the main Alpha's daughter. Now life would be forcing me to embrace a life I never thought of.
- "I wanted to take you out on a real date to a luxurious restaurant but you aren't prepared, it seems."
- "I just wanted to make it a casual date with you. You don't have to worry about that, we still have enough time to do that, we are just meeting for the first time."
- "Well, it's okay." He says with a shrug of his shoulders. Then he presses my body tighter to his, making my head rest on his chest, my left elbow on his bulge, feeling it makes the whole of my brain to reconnect, I blush, he notices it and smirks blush.
- "Let's get to know more about each other baby? It's been all sex and fun online." I sigh in relief but I didn't think he would want to know about me, I feel very special right now.
- "We've got a whole lot to know about each other. What do you want to know about me?"
- "A whole lot, your family and goals in life."
- "I don't really want to talk about my family."
- "What? Why?" He asks, quite disturbed at hearing me say this. I shake my head, I wouldn't want to bother him with this, well, I'd already said this.
- "They aren't loving," the pains in my voice change into a smile, a painful smile. Anyone can see the pain in the midst of my smile.
- "I never knew this, you never told me this."
- "Can we forget about this for the meantime, we are just meeting and it's wrong for me to talk about this on our first meeting."
- "I need to hear this, I'm seriously disturbed." The happiness which stayed on his face is now replaced with a frown. I hate to see this!
- Just now, a call arrived on my phone. My heart leaps for joy, I can now take a break from this tension. "It's my bro," I alert him. "Please excuse me."
- "Okay."
- "Hello Barlas," I called out to him.
- "Bella , where did you go ? I wanted to know if we could sit down to talk before I return."
- "I'm here at the Louis Pack to see my boyfriend."
- "Wow," he seems excited. "Who is he?"
- "The Alpha of the Louis Pack."
- "What!" He screams with joy.
- "Why are you excited?" I ask.
- "I have been worried about how you will survive in the pack estate without me. I know the issues you are going through, the challenges are huge as max told me."
- "Max told you?" I'm scared to hear this, I don't even know what to say, if I'm scared right now or just doubtful of this. Max is my stepsister, though she has been good to me sometimes and hasn't taken part in the oppression. I'm amazed to hear that she told Barlas what I'm going through. This clearly shows that she isn't supporting what her mom and sister are doing.
- "Yeah, let me leave you to continue your conversation with your boyfriend. I will be leaving by night, let me just give enough time. Love you sis."
- "Love you too. Thank you." He hangs up. I sigh in relief, then I look up to Melech .
- "Sorry about that book." I use the fond name I've been calling him online.
- "No, no, you don't have to be sorry."
