It is a terrifyingly small number when laid bare against the cold reality of my new responsibilities. 180 thousand—barely enough to cover Grandma's high-end care facility for the next three and a half months. It means I have precisely 105 days to build a legal fortress out of my career, or find another way to generate massive capital before her medical invoice arrives.
