• “Hurry up and go back to sleep!” Alyssa already guessed what Stephanie’s purpose in coming here was. She stomped over and pulled me out by the arm, then looked over her shoulder to signal her daughter with her eyes.
• “I’m not going anywhere!” I shook off her hand vigorously and plopped myself down beside Justin’s bed. “What if something happens after I leave?”
