- I stood outside the gleaming glass towers of Cielo Consulting, my stomach churning while I tried to look like I belonged there. Five months had passed since that meeting with Patrick, five months of intensive business training that he'd arranged, five months of preparing for this moment. It took me two months longer than expected to finish all of the courses. Also for Patrick to forge whatever documents were needed to get me here. I smoothed down my professional blazer and took a deep breath, reminding myself why I was here. Mom needed me, and I'd do whatever it took.
