Chapter 10 The Dare

• My lip trembled as I tried to find the words I wanted to say. Another fear was that he wouldn't believe me even if I told him who did this to me. Alpha Brennan was an alpha, and I was an omega. His word was law, and my words were ignored.
• I could feel the alpha on the ground as he cradled me in his arms. There was a warmth in my chest that bubbled into something more than just his touch. He moved my clothes around to expose parts of my skin, and soft growls escaped his throat as he did. I could feel his anger as if it were my own, and I winced again, knowing he wouldn't like the answer to his questions.
