• The afternoon sun peeked through the window, Edith was cradled in my arms, her body completely worn out. Her chest rose and fell steadily, exhaustion pulling her into an almost fragile stillness. Her bare skin was warm against mine, her hair scattered like silk across the pillow.
• I could still feel the heat of her body, sticky with the remnants of our passion. The scent of her was lingering in the air, and it was driving me crazy, but I stayed still. She was so tired, and I knew she couldn’t take any more after so many rounds. I could’ve gone for more only if she hadn't nearly passed out.
