• "What's wrong with liking men? What if I do? Would you stop being my friend?" Troy asked, his question hanging in the air, lingering between them with an awkward silence.
• “What would you do if…” Troy hesitated, meeting Aiden's eyes directly. Aiden just looked at him blankly, hands in his pockets, with the novel he’d been reading tucked under his arm. After a moment, he looked down, as if searching for the right response.
• “If I told you I was… interested in men?” Troy finished, his voice barely above a whisper.
