Chapter 173 Playful Evening

• The evening brought the glow of fires, the aroma of roasting meats, and the sense of celebration lingering from the victories of the day before. Even though the leader of the NigthHunters had gotten away they had still overtaken and embraced two camps of the rogue wolves. And despite expectations that they would turn on us at any point, they had seemed to embrace having a real pack. Many seemed relieved, others honored. There were a few grumbling wolves but their numbers were low and their own kind seemed to be keeping a careful eye on them for fear that they would ruin it for all of them.

• The hunters had done their job and brought back everything from venison to boar. Every bit of big game they came across, they brought home for the feast.
