• After a while, he was so busy that he wasn't able to get Vicky's call in time before it went to voicemail. A minute or so later, he saw a flash of movement down the hallway and looked up, seeing her looking around the corner toward his cubicle. She frowned and pointed at him, then made a phone motion with her hand moving towards her mouth and ear before disappearing around the corner again.
• Sighing and feeling like he knew what was coming, he waited for her to call again and quickly picked it up.
• "Ignoring me?" she asked, though there was no malice in her tone.
