Chapter 15 A Warning

• The next morning, Lily awoke with a start.
• She had barely slept. She had agreed to this insane plan, but that didn’t make it any easier. As she sat up, she remembered their conversation—she could keep working at the flower shop. A small victory, perhaps, but it was something she could hold onto.
• With a deep breath, she threw back the covers and got out of bed. She needed to prepare herself mentally and physically. Today, she would see Trent, and she had to somehow explain this impossible situation without scaring him.
