Chapter 12 An Offer

• Lily stared at him with wide eyes. She didn't know what to expect. He walked up to her and grabbed her wrist. She saw him lean towards Ruben and whisper something into his ear. And she couldn't be sure; she swore she felt Ruben shiver besides her.
• Giovanni turned and walked towards the door, Lily following closely behind him with his hand gripping her wrist tightly. Lily didn't ask any questions. She knew he was mad, even though he seemed calm. Gave new meaning to 'the calm before the storm'.
• She watched as Luca flashed his gun at a kid who looked like he was about to start some trouble. The kid immediately stopped in his tracks. "You all have a good night," Luca smiled as he turned and walked out, followed by Giovanni and her.
