• My mate is completely drained by all the rumours about her. I can’t help but feel guilty that no one is questioning my fertility but hers is the talk of the kingdom. The crazy part is that we have not even been mated for four months. They don’t even know if we want pups or not. I have, in very colourful words, told the elders to leave us the hell alone, but that has not stopped everyone from talking. Terrence tells me that there are women who are already preparing and fighting to be our surrogate. Then, there’s Olivia who is taking advantage of the whole situation. I now have old friends from school asking me how certain I am that Olivia is not my rightful mate.
• Abi keeps a lot to herself but I can sense her unhappiness. It was worse when she had her periods. She spends a lot of time with Titan lately and I’m sort of relieved because nothing I say makes her feel better.
