Chapter 21 The Golden Cage

• Two days have passed since that tumultuous night. As I open my eyes, I see the sun rays filtering through the curtains and gently illuminating my room. Another day locked in my golden cage.
• Getting out of bed, I let out a long sigh and head towards the bathroom. Through my reflection in the mirror, the dark circles remind me of the few hours of sleep during the night. Sleeping has become almost impossible since that night.
• I finish my personal hygiene and seek some relief in my refuge. However, after a few minutes admiring the garden of red roses, the sound of the lock brings me back to reality.
