Chapter 17 It's Just A Test

• My recent days have been relatively peaceful. Matteo spends most of the day out of the house, which, for me, is a relief. The constant nightmares and the feeling of being watched by that man in every corner of this house are already enough to disturb my peace.
• Since I found my father"in"law, I haven't had the courage to explore the rest of the house, as I spent several hours of the day keeping him company. Or rather, staying by his side in silence, while we watched the birds flying in the garden. Apparently, we developed the habit of envying their freedom.
