Chapter 39
- Layla rolled to and fro in her bed, her eyes shut tight, putting all thought away to have an evening nap after having no blink of sleep last night. William's words rang in her head all night, and it had already been five days after the dining room incident. The incident still frightened her because no matter how, she couldn't have a baby for him, especially with his low sex life.
- Ever since then, she had developed a sleeping disorder, not that she'd had a nice sleep in this house before, but it had gotten worse over the days. She pulled the duvet away from her face and sat up straight then rested her back on the headboard.
- Her eyes dropped on the purple leg-shaped couch in her room, and a smile pulled on her face.
