Chapter 6 Will You Give Yourself to Me?
- "Tell me, how much money do you want?"
- Bill's eyes flashed with a trace of rage at the question.
- If he hadn't recognised that the car belonged to the Jackmans back then and checked with the vehicle management office, only to find that the car had been destroyed and the owner's information completely erased ...
- He wouldn't be in such a passive position now!
- Bill was not even sure who to ask for compensation. He was afraid of threatening the wrong person and having it backfire!
- That man's identity was unclear to him, but Freya knew clearly.
- Thinking of this, he chuckled and said, "Why are we talking about money between father and daughter? It's just a collaboration between our family and the Jackmans."
- He didn't care about a compensation fee of a few hundred thousand; what he wanted was a partnership with a multinational group like the Jackman Group. His goals were to make high profits, elevate the company's reputation, and open more markets.
- Freya gritted her teeth and said, "I'll figure something out. If you tell the Jackmans about this, I won't let you off the hook even if it kills me!"
- ...
- The next morning, Freya went to Motionbridge Corporation to find Henry.
- Leo blocked her outside the CEO's office. He rubbed his sore arms—sore because his boss had thrown him into the sparring arena for hiring Freya on his own initiative.
- Leo said formally, "Ms. Lambert, you have been dismissed from Motionbridge. Mr. Jackman won't see you. Please leave."
- Freya said coldly, "Just tell him; if he refuse to see me, I'll sue him for raping me!"
- Leo was at a loss for words. His brain went blank for a second before he quickly responded.
- It turned out this woman was the one who saved the boss when he was drugged four years ago.
- But ... rape?
- Could it be that she said something like this yesterday and angered the cold and aloof yet inwardly pure-hearted boss?
- If so, wasn't I unlucky to be caught in the middle?
- Suppressing his strange feelings, Leo answered more seriously, "Please wait a moment; I'll report this."
- Shortly after, Leo emerged from the office and said respectfully, "Ms. Lambert, please come in."
- Freya took a deep breath and strode into the room.
- As soon as she stepped into the office, she noticed that all the furniture had been replaced. The cool-toned decor made the spacious office seem even more solemn and imposing.
- Henry was working on some documents. His high-end custom pen swiftly moved across the A4 paper with a swoosh, creating an oppressive and quiet atmosphere in the office.
- Just sitting there, the menacing aura he emitted made it difficult for anyone to look directly at him.
- "Mr. ... Jackman," Freya summoned her courage to look at the man before her.
- Interrupted from his work, Henry put down the document in his hand. He looked at Freya with a gaze full of mockery. His tone was a mixture of ridicule and coldness as he asked, "What's the matter? You have a change of heart?"
- "No." Already feeling guilty, Freya grew even more flustered under his cold gaze. She stammered, "I-I want to ask Mr. Jackman to give the Loop Road commercial district project to the Lambert Group."
- Henry ridiculed, "Haha! You have quite an appetite."
- He raised an eyebrow and stood up from his seat. Henry took a few steps around her, scrutinising her as if she were merchandise. He said, "If you had been this direct yesterday, no matter how outrageous your conditions, I would have tried to meet them. But now ...
- "You come to me talking about collaboration and interests ... and even accuse me of—rape?"
- As Henry approached her, he was slightly leaning forward. Then, he whispered in her ear with a tone that was both suggestive and cold, "Aren't you afraid I might change my mind and kill you?"
- Freya's eyelashes trembled slightly. She had considered this possibility, but her concern for the twins overshadowed her fear for her own safety!
- Her eyes were reddened with fear, and her expression was pitiful. Henry suddenly softened his tone and spoke with a low voice, "Well, it's not impossible for me to agree to your terms."
- Freya looked up joyfully, only to see a mischievous glint in his eyes. His voice was low and dangerous as he asked, "I want you. Will you give yourself to me?"
- "You jerk!"
- Freya looked up at him in shock. His dark eyes met hers, drawing her soul into an abyss.
- "You're shameless!"
- Freya was filled with shame and anger. She instinctively stepped back, propping herself up on the desk to put some distance between her and Henry.
- Surprisingly, Henry also stepped forward. His hands ambiguously trapped her against him and the desk.
- He saw the fear in Freya's eyes and couldn't help but find it amusing. Henry leaned in closer, his voice carrying a hint of mockery. "What? Not willing?"
- Freya looked at the sinister smile on Henry's face. Her retort stuck in her throat.
- As the distance between them closed, the suggestive atmosphere spread in the quiet room. Henry caught a faint scent from her.
- It wasn't a perfume, but almost like her body fragrance.
- It reminded him of that day.
- Unconsciously, the memories of that passionate night flooded his mind.
- The woman's body had been extraordinarily warm under him, her face gradually blushing and adding a touch of charm.
- Looking at the equally alluring Freya in front of him, Henry suddenly felt a tightening in his lower abdomen.
- Realising his loss of control, he turned his head awkwardly. He suppressed his desires and irritation, his handsome profile abruptly turned icy cold.
- "I can agree to the collaboration, but how are you going to repay me?"
- She didn't notice the change in Henry's expression. Freya thought he was just being inherently unpredictable.
- Freya was furious at his remarks. She blurted out, "I gave you my innocence; what else do you want? I came here to negotiate. If you disagree, I'll sue you for v ... violate..."
- She trailed off. Freya remembered that in her moment of panic, she had said, "I'm willing."
- Henry seemed to remember this as well. His sharp eyes locked onto hers, the sarcasm in his expression as if saying, 'Go on, why aren't you speaking?'
- Freya's aggressive stance instantly crumbled. She even wanted to leave.
- Thinking of the twins, she couldn't bring herself to move. Her voice softened and she said, "I don't need that money; please agree to the collaboration."
- Oh?
- She softened her stance so quickly.
- Henry glanced sinisterly at Freya. He thought she was more stubborn, but it turned out she was no different from those women who fawned over power.
- If it weren't for her intoxicating scent, he wouldn't even look at her twice.
