Chapter 32 How Could It Be a Coincidence?
- As Reilly looked at the middle-aged woman lying on the hospital bed, her gaze softened. She walked over and tucked the woman in. "Ms. Gorin, I've come to visit you." Reilly picked up the kettle from the bedside table and poured hot water into the washbasin. She soaked a towel in the water, wrung it dry, and gently wiped the woman's body.
- The middle-aged woman lying unconscious on the bed was her mentor, whom she had met in prison. Her name was Jocelyn Gorin. She was in her thirties, but she had spent seven whole years in prison. - Other prison inmates were bribed when Reilly arrived. They would come at precisely three o'clock in the afternoon every day and take her away from her guarded cell. They led her to a dark and damp room to torment her. The scars on her fingers were a result of that time.
