Chapter 34 A Loan Shark

• It was exactly two weeks since Ethan saw Jackson with a senior lawyer from his law firm. He had initially wanted to ask Mr. Oliver about his involvement with Jackson, but he decided against it, not wanting to be too forward as he was just seeing them for the first time.
• Jackson didn’t stop picking Rowan from school every weekend, and there was nothing Fiona would do against it because of the joint custody he leveraged on. Jackson had done everything he could to make Rowan warm up to him, as he already knew that the little boy didn't like him or Alaina.
• He would take Rowan to different places like amusement parks, zoos, and museums. He would buy him toys, candy, and other treats. He would spend hours playing with Rowan, telling him stories and making him laugh, and Rowan was warming up slowly with him. He was a kid and didn’t know the depth of how much Jackson had hurt his mother, but he saw the way he treated her the last time, and that had made him hate his father.
