• Dom stomped back over his tracks for the third time. If he didn’t hear from her in the next few minutes, he was going in regardless! Brody looked at him from the tree he stood leaning against.
• “You need to take it down a notch, Dom, your hostility is smothering all the oxygen in this area.”
• Dom glared at him and then looked down at the snow. “I’m trying. She should have contacted me by now.” Tess came through the trees and headed toward him. She looked tired. “You’re sure you’re rested enough to be in on this?”
