Chapter 10 Ten
- Arini compresses her eyes repeatedly. even though last night was no longer filled with crying, she still can't hide that her eyes are puffy. The confiding session with Mrs. Sinta made her heart somewhat relieved too. Mrs. Sinta was shocked when she learned the story from Arini. She said she didn't think that Rieka could do something like that.
- "Already, you don't need to be too sad. You just focus on your goals now."
- Having been advised like that, plus all the head rubbing, it made Arini even sadder. No, Arini didn't burst into tears again, but her eyes glazed over because she was touched. In Jakarta, the only one who pays attention to her even though she is sometimes annoying is Mrs. Sinta. Sometimes arini was a bit uncomfortable because she was constantly monitored by sinta but over time, arini understood that sinta was worried about her. She didn't want to spread arini's shame.
- "I didn't expect you to slap Reyhan to such an extent. I know you are gentle and don't mess around."
- Arini grinned. "I didn't even think I could do that mom. It's like there's a separate force that moves my hand. Maybe I was too upset to do that?"
- "It could be." Mrs. Sinta rubbed Arini's head again. "You're lucky if you know about Reyhan's behavior now, rather than later? Moreover, are you planning to get married?"
- "Yes."
- That's what made Arini sad. Their wedding plans were canceled just like that. Reyhan sometimes mentioned marriage but Arini didn't want to. She still hesitated because to be honest, from an economic point of view, they were very different.
- Reyhan is from a wealthy family while she is? Just an ordinary farmer's son. indeed, arini never met Reyhan’s mother. He died anyway. but his father.
- Oh my god. Why do you remember Reyhan's father again. no need. no need to remember the old man named Richard again. why. It's useless. Just makes Arini remember the unlucky night that happened in her life.
- "What's wrong with you rin?"
- Mrs. Sinta seemed to know something was wrong with Arini. The girl shuddered in disgust.
- "Hate rieka and reyhan enough. there's no need to think too much about it. remember what you came to Jakarta for. if soul mate won't go anywhere and if you can, ask god for the best soul mate. Just think that God is again kind to show who Reyhan really is."
- "Yes ma'am." Arini agreed with Mrs. Sinta's words.
- "Yes, you rest already. Tomorrow you work, right? Don't let this get you into trouble at work."
- Well at least, even though she was far away from her mother, Mrs. Sinta's presence in Arini's life in Jakarta could cure a little longing.
- Before leaving, Arini took the time to check the paper bag that was still sitting behind the door. There was a sense of pity because the dress was actually nice as well as the black card she tucked in there. but if she remembered Richard's face, she didn't want any residual memories of the man and the damn night that happened in her life. So Arini decided to bring the paper bag downstairs. It was better to throw it away immediately if possible. so it disappeared from Arini's sight.
- "Well done!" Arini let out a sigh of relief. The paper bag containing Mr. Richard's clothes and the card was already in the trash. Mrs. Sinta had provided three large bins for the boarders' trash. They must independently take down the trash they have. It's just a matter of unloading it, can't you?
- It's outrageous if you can't. It's lazy to be a tenant.
- Arini looked up slightly, the sun was beginning to rise. The clock in her hand already pointed to half past seven. It was time for her to leave for the office. usually, Reyhan was waiting at the gate complete with a sweet good morning message.
- I'm not sure what to make of this, but it's a great way to get a feel for what's going on in your life. it's a great way to get a feel for what's going on in your life. If you're not sure what you're looking for, we've got you covered. Rieka is an extravagant girl regarding her hobby of shopping. Although sometimes Arini is treated, but is it true that every time she goes shopping, she is always treated by Rieka?
- After all, the child's money is endless. Sometimes Arini counts how many groceries Rieka carries every time she goes to the mall. Even her salary has to be saved for monthly needs and sending to the village, but Rieka can still shop this and that.
- Never mind. Now Arini is lucky. She's not so wasteful because she no longer wants to talk to Rieka. Although they are in the same division as marketing administration, one room, also one boss, arini can just adjust the situation. it's up to others to know what happened, but arini is determined to be professional at work.
- The most important thing arini will do; avoid rieka as far as possible.
- Also... reyhan.
- Who had appeared in front of the gate complete with a red couple helmet; Arini's favorite color.
- ***
- Richard had just set foot at Soeta airport. His work in Bali was very time-consuming. The land acquisition project for villas around Nusa Dua was a bit difficult to negotiate because the locals didn't agree with the price offered. It was only after he intervened that they all agreed. It wasn't because of the price either, the locals wanted the villas not to be built but to be preserved and protected.
- Richard didn't matter because his goal was to make this place a villa that contained historical elements.
- "Sir, today there is a follow-up meeting with the bank. Their branch head wants to talk a lot about the disbursement of funds."
- Richard loosened his tie. "Have you heard anything about Arini?"
- The assistant stared at the boss in confusion. "Arini?"
- Richard tapped his forehead. "I was wrong to ask you. Call Yusman. I want to talk."
- "Yes, sir." Richard's assistant's name was Harun. Their names combined are like Indonesia's top celebrities, right? Richard Harun? Unfortunately, they are two different people. One is a wealthy boss; the other is an ordinary employee whose work is piling up unfinished. Having to work like a horse to live in Jakarta, where the cost of living is high.
- "Yusman," Richard called in a firm voice as soon as the line was connected.
- "Yes sir?"
- "Yesterday you took Arini to her boarding house, right?"
- "Yes, sir."
- Richard let out a sigh of relief. "How is she?"
- "What do you mean sir?"
- Had it not been for Yusman's loyalty, Richard would have snapped at him. When Richard was at his lowest point, not because he lost his wealth but his precious wife, Yusman was always with him. Whether it was the scorching sun that scorched his skin, the rainstorm, the many scorns around him, even his business that was almost destroyed because Richard could not concentrate on giving orders and continuing his work, Yusman was always by his side.
- He said, "I have never felt loss but it seems to hurt a lot. I hope that when I feel that, there is someone to accompany me. That's why as long as I can accompany you, I will."
- "When you delivered Arini, was it okay?"
- "No, sir. I was just daydreaming and crying along the way."
- Richard nodded in understanding. "Take me to her boarding house later after the meeting."
- "Yes, sir. I'll pick you up at the head office."
- Richard's smile faintly formed. "Arini, get ready to see me again."
