Chapter 24

• Yvonne's POV
• After the cheers and fun of yesterday, I started packing my backpack in preparation to leave the lounge where I'm staying with mom and Nelly . I'll stay near the academy at the sanctuary of the moon goddess. I have only today to do that. While bothering to pack, I find myself heavy in heart, not due to the burden of the loads I'm packing because I'm not really taking much with me, just some clothes that would fit for training, two combat boots, a short boot and slippers to wear inside the hostel.
• Where I'm going is not a place for fun, but for serious business. Being an Alpha Prince's bride and the Luna of the large Pack requires me to be strong. No one compels me to train, I just get to decide what I want through the help of the Luna Queen, ahead of the day of a fight with another woman who might come to contest for my husband. Then I need to overcome her lest she beats me and gets inside the house, throwing my things away. Jeff or Jack might not necessarily do anything if either likes the new girl and sees her as more worthy than me. So I have to fight for myself.
