Chapter 25 A Conversation That Cornered Cecilia Ii

• Lunch with Evan was nothing new for Cecilia. But she never imagined that today she’d have to share a meal with Evan, his father, and—most of all—his uncle. Her mind suddenly went blank, she had no idea how to act.
• Cecilia felt trapped, surrounded by three men she knew well, but with whom she shared tangled, complicated relationships. If she had a choice, she would have opted to work overtime, finishing stacks of paperwork, rather than being stuck at this table with Evan, Edgar, and—especially—Charles.
