Chapter 10 An Irresistible Touch

• Cecilia stared at the five paper bags that had been delivered to her apartment an hour ago by several boutique workers, along with a specially packaged dress. One of them had also delivered a message from the sender of all these items: Cecilia had to wear everything without leaving anything out. If she missed even one item, there would be consequences.
• Oh, of course it was Charles’s doing. Charles had sent all this to her, to wear for their dinner appointment. Yes, it was crazy. Cecilia reluctantly accepted the dinner invitation because if she didn’t, she feared disaster would strike.
• She didn’t want to take any risks. Her big secret was in Charles’s hands. Damn it all. She hated it. But what could she do? That night’s incident made it feel like she had an unthinkable bond with the uncle of her ex-fiancé.
