Chapter 12 An Intimidating Interrogation

• Morning greeted the world. Cecilia was focused on her MacBook screen, ticking off tasks one by one, when someone suddenly entered her office. From the familiar scent alone, she decided not to look up to see who had come in.
• “Babe, where were you yesterday? Why did you suddenly hang up on me?” Evan appeared, firing off two questions in a slightly raised voice. He stopped in front of Cecilia’s desk, standing and staring intently at the woman seated before him.
• Today, Cecilia looked stunning in her all-black outfit, exuding a mysterious yet charismatic aura. She wore thigh-length tailored pants, paired with a plain short white tee, and an oversized black blazer that draped over her proportional frame. A simple black watch circled her small, fair wrist. Her blonde hair was left loose, cascading beautifully over her small but steady shoulders.
