Chapter 159 The Setup
- “No, no, no, Mr. Yancey. Tonight’s on me, all of it,” Vincy Shaw said with an easy smile. “How about this—give me a minute. I’ll have a driver come right now to take you and this lady home. I’ll get a team from the dealership to tow your car and fix it up. While your car’s in the shop, I’ll assign you a dedicated driver so your schedule doesn’t take a hit. You handle a ton every day—if my fender bender messes with your work, that’s on me.” She paused, then added, still smiling, “Also, Mr. Yancey, I hit your car, and my driver had that attitude toward you—he even laid hands on you. That hurts, both mentally and physically. Plus, I wasted your valuable time. By any measure, I owe you. Mr. Yancey, would three hundred grand work as compensation?”
- Mr. Yancey stared at her, eyes wide, speechless for a long beat. Her words spun in his head.
- He wasn’t naive. He knew exactly what she meant.
