Chapter 9 The Coward's Confession
- Grayson looked terrible, which felt like the first honest thing about him I'd seen in months.
- We met at a coffee shop off campus, neutral ground, the kind of place neither of us usually went so there'd be less chance of an audience. He was already there when I arrived, hunched over a cup he wasn't drinking, and when he looked up at me his eyes were red-rimmed in a way that told me whatever guilt he'd been carrying since September had finally caught up to him at full weight.
