Chapter 55 The Run

• The moon was full that night. It hung high in the sky, glowing like a white lantern. The stars sparkled all around it, and the sky was clear without clouds. But even though the night was beautiful, Brianna felt nothing but darkness inside her chest. Her heart felt heavy, like a stone pulling her down.
• She stood near the tall window in her room. The curtains moved gently with the breeze, but she didn’t feel the cool wind. Her eyes were red and tired from crying. She hadn’t slept well for many nights.
