• The sun was already up when I opened my eyes. Soft light came through the curtains. My whole body felt sore, but in a good way. I felt like I had run a long race but was happy about it. I smiled as I looked at the slight dent beside me in bed. Ryker had already left the room, but his scent was still on the pillow.
• Last night had been… different. Strong. Deep. It wasn't just about touching or kissing. I felt something change between us. Like something inside my chest had finally opened. Like the bond between us had grown stronger. It scared me a little, but I also felt warm.
