Chapter 5 Alpha Xander's Human Mate 5

• ~ Xander’s POV~
• Soon it was time for lunch. All of us the pack members that attend this usually gather together at the hallway before going into the cafeteria together. Since we were little, we were taught to always eat together as one family because that will strengthen our bond.
• As we entered the cafeteria, everywhere became quiet. People stopped eating at us. It happens all the time. I wonder when they are going to stop acting as if we are the kardashians or the Royal family.
• Since our pack owns the majority of the school shares , we have our own special seat. Our food is also different and we don’t have to join any queue because we have people serving us.
• As I walked into the cafeteria, I was hit with the sweetest scent ever. It smelt like fresh roses and lavender and there was something unique about the scent.
• “Mate!”. My wolf Austin shouted happily in his head.
• “Hh?”. That was the only word I could produce.
• “That’s our mate's scent dummy!”. Austin mocked me.
• Never in my life did I think that I will find my mate on this day and in this school for that matter. I tried looking around, to see if I could get the exact direction she was. But I couldn’t because of the aroma of the food.
• “Xander are you coming or are you going to just stand there?”. Alissa asked when I realized that I had been standing at the same position by the door for about three minutes.
• I dragged myself to our table even though Austin wanted us around the cafeteria until we found our mate.
• “That’s creepy Austin! Majority of the people in this school are humans.”
• I guess my mate is a human too if she would have scent me too.
• After we sat, everyone turned their attention back to their food. That’s the heavens, the atmosphere is less dense now I can concentrate and find the location of the scent.
• After looking around, I finally found her. Although I can’t see her face because she has her back turned to me. The only features I could see it’s her long ginger hair.
• Please turn around. I prayed silently because I wanted to see her face. And as if she could hear me, she immediately turned her head and made eye contact.
• Wow is the only thing I could do. Her smooth face was glowing and it complimented her big ball eyes which looked at me with curiosity and her pink lips..”
• O my God! I felt my heart beating very fast. I can’t believe I am feeling this way just by looking at her face.
• “Just wait until we hear voices and kiss those beautiful tempting lips and….”. Austin went on and on ranting.
• “Wait, hold it there and stop corrupting my mind”. I warned him.
• “I am in our mind moron!”. Austin stamp back at me.
• I look at her again only to see that she has turned back to her table. But I couldn’t stop looking at her.
• Few seconds later, she turned to her back again to see me staring at her.
• Her friends must have seen her because she turned and they started talking. Next, they were looking at me. Well I guess they must be talking about me.
• A few minutes later, I saw her get up and leave the cafeteria with a frown on her face.
• “She looks as if someone has offended her. Who dares tired that while we are here”. Austin shouted furiously. The thought of it made me grab the spoon in my hand so hard that it broke.
• Everyone at the table turned to look at me with a curious look.
• “Mind telling us what all that is about?”. Allen, the son of the beta and also Alissa mate asked me.
• “What are you talking about”. I replied nonchalantly.
• “We saw you stare at the girl since we entered into the cafeteria until she went out now, you where still looking at her.” He stated
• “Well there is nothing wrong in looking at my own mate or is there?”. I said, waiting for their reaction.
• My sister Alissa was the first to recover from her shock and shouted; “ Did you say Your MATE?”.
• “Did you say Your Mate?”.
• Everyone on the table turned their attention to me. I just kept mute looking at them. If they are waiting for me to say it again, then they are on their own.
• “Of course she is his mate. If not, why will Xander be looking at her? I mean have you ever seen him take interest in anybody before?”.
• “OMG dah!!!! My brother has finally grown up. He has found his soulmate!”. My sister Alissa screamed girlishly.
• And ladies and gentlemen that’s what happens when your younger sibling is mated before. She once told me that I should give her the respect I give to a married woman quoting that she “is a married woman” since in the werewolves constitution once you are mated, you are seen as a married couple.
• Alissa went on ranting on and on before she paused; “wait do you even know her name?”.
• “I just saw her today for the first time”. I said as I gave her a mind your business look. But being a stubborn girl, she turned a blind eye at me.
• “Don’t worry elder brother, since she is my future sister-in-law, Ivory and I will befriend her on your behalf”. Alissa winked at me.
• And just like that all of them started talking about how they would help as if I asked them.
• Although I am actually grateful that they are all trying to help but am not going to them that and have Alissa’s head grow bigger than it is already.

• Soon it was closing time, and we are currently on our way to our parking space.
• “Omg look! It’s Xander’s mate!”. Alissa screamed. God that girl loves to scream for no reason. I looked and saw my mate who looked as if she was waiting for someone.
• “Alissa you can’t go on screaming that, please we are in the public”. Allen scolded her. As we pass by my mate, all them turned to look at her. But I didn’t because i'm afraid that if I do, I will do something out of the ordinary. Already just by standing near, I can feel my heart beating irregularly. I did my possible best and passed her without looking.
• “Wow she is really beautiful!”
• “So true!”
• “Xander you have a beautiful mate”.
• They kept on commenting until we reached our parking spot.
• As soon as we reached home, I quickly went to my room and logged into the net and browsed on how to toast a girl.
• Even though I didn’t tell anyone, the truth is that I am confused about the whole situation. If she is a wolf, it would have been better because she would have knowledge about mates.
• But she is a human. And humans are very complicated especially in the area of love and relationships. I have to court her like the humans do. Am not even sure if she will accept me or not.

• I studied the results on and on. It sounds very easy. The biggest problem is how I am going to approach her.

• Just then, I got a knock on my door and was informed that lunch was ready.
• I went downstairs for lunch and almost everyone was giving me a creepy smile. O heavens! Let it not be that big mouthed Alissa told everyone that I have found my mate because I will kill her. I might not really kill but I will make her life a living hell. I was already getting tired of all the unnecessary stares I am getting from people, it is very uncomfortable. Mum must have noticed my distress.
• “Will everyone please stop looking at Xander? Can’t you see how uncomfortable he is?”. Mom addressed all of them and I threw her a grateful look.
